The 02-S Shank measures 7.5″ from the top of the bridle ring to the bottom of the rein rings. It's small "S" shape gives added poll pressure and provides the rider with increased leverage allowing for more refined communication and control over the horse, especially in situations requiring subtle cues. The 02-S, with its curve, can also create a quicker release of pressure when the reins are released. The rein rings swoop back slightly to the horse, but not by much, making it have a quicker action time compared to the 65 Shank.
